- Your baby was born between 23 weeks and 36 weeks, 6 days of pregnancy.
- Your baby has a confirmed brain bleed that led to hydrocephalus (extra fluid in the brain).
- Your baby has not had any procedure to drain the extra fluid from around the brain yet.
- The hydrocephalus is not caused by a birth defect, infection, or other condition unrelated to the brain bleed.
- Your baby has not been treated for hydrocephalus or had a suspected brain infection before enrollment.
