Who can take part

  • Your baby must be 28 days old or younger.
  • Your baby must have a severe brain bleed (Grade III or IV on a standard classification).
  • Your baby must not have a major brain malformation like Dandy-Walker or holoprosencephaly.
  • Your baby must not have an active brain infection (like meningitis).
  • Your baby must not have a bleeding problem that cannot be fixed before surgery.
  • A parent or guardian must sign a consent form.
