Testing own disc cells for low back pain from a herniated disc

Who can take part

  • You are at least 20 years old.
  • You have a herniated disc and are scheduled for surgery to remove part of it.
  • You have had low back pain for more than 6 weeks that hasn't improved with treatments like physical therapy or medication.
  • MRI or X-ray shows only one disc is the problem.
  • You are not pregnant, not breastfeeding, and use birth control if needed.
