Who can take part

  • You must have advanced liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) that cannot be treated with surgery or other local therapies.
  • You must be between 18 and 65 years old and weigh between 50 kg and 85 kg (110–187 lbs).
  • You cannot have had any prior systemic treatment (like chemotherapy or immunotherapy) for advanced liver cancer.
  • Your liver function must be good (Child-Pugh class A) and your overall health status should be normal (ECOG 0).
  • You must have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan, and it cannot be one that was previously treated with surgery or radiation.
  • If you have hepatitis B or C, it must be well-controlled with medication, and you must agree to continue treatment during the study.
