Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have low platelet counts but your red blood cells and white blood cells are normal
- The low platelets are from one of these causes: immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), amegakaryocytic aplasia, a certain bone marrow condition, a blood cancer, or an autoimmune disease
- You are not pregnant
- Your low platelets are not caused by a medicine you are taking, a blood thinner, or other clear triggers like a blood infection
