Who can take part

  • You have cancer that has spread to your bones, causing at least moderate pain (4 out of 10 on a pain scale).
  • Your cancer is no longer responding to standard treatments, or you cannot have radiation to the painful spots.
  • Your kidneys, liver, and blood counts meet certain minimum levels (your doctor can check).
  • You are expected to live at least 4 months (16 weeks).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you do not have an unstable spine or recent heart problems.
