Preventing blood clots in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with rivaroxaban

Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM)

Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 80 years old.
  • You weigh between 110 and 265 pounds (50 to 120 kilograms).
  • Your heart is in a normal rhythm (sinus rhythm).
  • You have been diagnosed with primary hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (not caused by other conditions like high blood pressure or heart valve problems).
  • Your left atrial strain (a measure of how well your heart's upper chamber functions) is 20% or less as confirmed by a central lab.
  • If you could become pregnant, you must use highly effective birth control for at least 14 days before starting treatment, during the study, and for 4 weeks after the last dose.
