Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (thick heart muscle).
- You have paroxysmal (comes and goes) or persistent (lasting longer) atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat).
- You are scheduled for an ablation procedure to treat your atrial fibrillation.
- You are between the ages of 18 and 80.
- You are able to give informed consent and attend follow-up visits.
- You cannot have any health issues that make ablation unsafe, and you must not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You must not have severe kidney problems that prevent an MRI scan.
