Who can take part

  • Age 70 or older
  • Have mild to moderate sleep problems (score 8–21 on a sleep questionnaire)
  • Walk a bit slower than normal but can still walk (speed between 0.44 and 1 meter per second)
  • Lead a mostly sedentary lifestyle (less than 2.5 hours of moderate exercise per week)
  • Not taking certain medications like antidepressants, antipsychotics, or acetaminophen
  • No serious health conditions like liver disease, diabetes, or recent surgery
