Who can take part

  • You must have been diagnosed with hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis that affects your nerves (hATTR-PN).
  • Your nerve symptoms should fall within a moderate range on a doctor's exam (score of 5 to 130 on the neuropathy scale).
  • You need to be able to do most daily activities on your own (KPS score of 60% or higher).
  • You cannot have had a liver transplant, or be planning one soon.
  • Your heart failure (if any) should be mild—no worse than Class II on the NYHA scale.
