Who can take part

  • You must have been diagnosed with dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB), either the severe or milder form.
  • You must have at least one active wound on your arms, legs, or trunk that is between 10 and 50 square centimeters in size (about the size of a small to large bandage).
  • You must be willing to follow the study rules and give your consent to participate.
  • You must test negative for drugs in a urine test at the screening visit.
  • You must not have a serious infection, a history of bone marrow transplant, an autoimmune disease (like insulin-dependent diabetes), or a severe medical condition like cancer that limits your ability to come to the clinic.
