Who can take part

  • Age 2 weeks to 25 years
  • You have a heart or lung condition such as prematurity-related lung disease, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, pulmonary hypertension, congenital heart disease, respiratory failure, neuromuscular disease, or developmental lung disease
  • Or you are a healthy volunteer born full-term with no heart or lung disease
  • No skin problems, chest tubes, or dressings that prevent placing small electrodes on the chest
  • No pacemaker or metal implant in the chest
  • Not pregnant or breastfeeding
