New way to check lung blood flow in ventilated patients

Who can take part

  • You are critically ill and need a breathing machine.
  • You have ARDS (a serious lung condition) and/or are on medications to support blood pressure.
  • You already have a pulmonary artery catheter in place as part of your care.
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You do not have severe obesity (BMI over 35), are not pregnant or nursing, and have no blood clot in the lungs or irregular heartbeat.
