Who can take part
- You are 18 to 55 years old
- You have a diagnosis of focal epilepsy or idiopathic generalized epilepsy
- Your epilepsy is refractory, meaning at least two anti-seizure medications have not controlled your seizures
- You have had at least 3 tonic-clonic seizures (grand mal seizures) in the past 18 months
- You are not taking certain antidepressants called SSRIs or SNRIs
- You do not have serious heart, lung, or sleep apnea conditions
