Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 55 years old
- You have drug-resistant focal epilepsy (seizures that don't stop with medication)
- You are already scheduled for brain surgery with special electrodes (SEEG) as part of epilepsy evaluation
- At least one electrode will be placed in the language/movement area of your brain (perisylvian cortex)
- At least one electrode will be placed in the planning/movement area (premotor cortex)
- You do not have ongoing heart or lung problems, recent stroke, or brain swelling from a tumor
