AI-assisted eye disease diagnosis using OCT scans

Diabetic Retinopathy (DR)Retinal Vein Occlusion (RVO)Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD)Pathologic MyopiaGlaucoma

Part of Eyes & vision, Heart & circulation, Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.

This research tests whether a computer program can help doctors diagnose eye diseases using special scans called OCT. If you have a common retinal condition and have had these scans, you may be eligible to help improve how eye diseases are found.

Who can take part

  • You must have had an OCT or OCT angiography scan at Peking Union Medical College Hospital.
  • You need one of these eye conditions: diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein blockage, age-related macular degeneration, severe nearsightedness with abnormal blood vessels, or glaucoma with nerve damage.
  • Your eye scan images need to be clear enough for analysis (not blurry or incomplete).
  • You must be able to give permission (informed consent) or have medical records available if the study uses past data.
