Who can take part
- You are between 2 and 79 years old.
- If you have epilepsy: you were just diagnosed and have not started any anti-seizure medicine (or had only one dose).
- If you are a control (no epilepsy): you have never had epilepsy or taken anti-seizure medicine.
- You have not used antibiotics or probiotics in the last 3 months.
- You do not have a stomach or bowel condition, have not had digestive surgery, and do not have obesity (BMI over 30) or type 2 diabetes.
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, on a strict exclusion diet, or using a feeding tube.
