3D exercises for teens with rounded upper back

This trial tests whether specific three-dimensional exercises (Schroth method) can improve trunk muscle endurance, sleep quality, and quality of life in adolescents with hyperkyphosis (excessive forward curve of the upper spine). If you have a child between 12 and 18 with a Cobb angle of 45° or more in the upper back, this study may help.

Who can take part

  • You are between 12 and 18 years old
  • You have an upper back curve (kyphosis) of at least 45 degrees measured on an X-ray
  • You can participate in the exercise program for at least 3 months and understand the instructions
  • You are willing to keep a weekly exercise log
  • You do not have scoliosis (a sideways curve) greater than 10 degrees or other serious spine conditions
