Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You must have hypovolemic shock (dangerous low blood volume after an injury).
- You cannot be very overweight (BMI over 40).
- You cannot have heart or lung problems (like heart disease, fluid around the heart, high lung blood pressure, or fluid in the lungs).
- You cannot have a torn aorta or need emergency chest/heart surgery, or have an abdominal mass or fluid collection in the belly.
- You cannot be pregnant, need a breathing machine, or refuse to join.
