Who can take part

  • You are 65 years old or older.
  • You have COPD confirmed by a breathing test (FEV1/FVC less than 70%).
  • You have smoked at least 10 pack-years (e.g., 1 pack a day for 10 years).
  • In the past year, you have had either 1 COPD-related hospitalization or 2 flare-ups treated outside the hospital.
  • You do not have diabetes, kidney problems, liver problems, heart failure, dementia, or alcohol use disorder.
