Who can take part
- You are between 40 and 75 years old.
- You have a COPD diagnosis, confirmed by a breathing test.
- Your lung function is moderately reduced (between 40% and 70% of expected).
- You have a significant smoking history (more than 10 pack-years).
- You have evidence of emphysema on a CT scan and a documented decline in lung function over the last 3 years.
- You are not taking long-term oral steroids, have had no recent chest infections, and have no diabetes, recent heart problems, or cancer (within 5 years).
