Who can take part

  • Your cornea (the clear front part of your eye) is thin — less than 490 microns thick.
  • Your cornea is steeper than average, or has an irregular shape.
  • You have at least 1.5 diopters of astigmatism (which causes blurred vision).
  • Special measurements from a corneal mapping machine show signs that your cornea might be at risk for weakening (like early keratoconus).
  • You haven't been diagnosed with full-blown keratoconus.
