Who can take part
- You are scheduled for a planned, first-time hip replacement on one side
- You are in good enough health to be rated ASA I, II, or III
- You scored 23 or higher on a memory and thinking test (MoCA score)
- You are not allergic to benzodiazepines, flumazenil, or local anesthetics
- You do not have severe liver problems, epilepsy, or a history of seizures
