Who can take part

  • You must have rectal adenocarcinoma confirmed by biopsy.
  • The tumor must be at a stage where it has grown into or through the rectal wall or spread to nearby lymph nodes but not to distant organs.
  • The tumor must be within 10 cm of the anal verge.
  • Your cancer must be microsatellite stable (MSS).
  • You cannot have had any prior cancer treatment for this rectal cancer.
  • You must be in good overall health with adequate organ function.
  • You cannot have an active autoimmune disease or be on strong immunosuppressants.
  • You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
