Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Your breast cancer must be HER2-positive (a specific protein found on the cancer cells).
  • You cannot have had chemotherapy or cancer-targeting therapy for advanced or metastatic breast cancer before (but you can have had hormone therapy).
  • You must have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan.
  • You should be generally active and able to take care of yourself (ECOG score 0 or 1).
  • You must not have had certain previous treatments, like high-dose doxorubicin or certain antibody-drug conjugates.
