Who can take part
- You have a high-risk blood cancer like acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), or high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are in reasonably good health (able to care for yourself, with no serious organ damage).
- You have a stored cord blood unit that has been frozen for at least 10 years and matches your tissue type (at least 4 out of 6 HLA markers) with enough stem cells.
- You do not have an active infection with HIV, hepatitis B or C, cytomegalovirus (CMV), Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), or syphilis.
- You have not had a prior stem cell transplant or gene therapy, and you do not have a willing, fully matched donor available.
