Who can take part

  • Age between 3 months and 25 years at the time of transplant.
  • Leukemia is in complete remission (less than 5% leukemia cells) before the transplant.
  • A suitable donor is available: matched related or unrelated donor, mismatched family donor, or cord blood with enough cells.
  • No serious infections, heart, lung, kidney, or liver problems that are not controlled.
  • If the patient has had a stem cell transplant before, they may still join some parts of the study.
  • Female patients must have a negative pregnancy test and agree to use contraception.
