  • You have a brain stem bleed larger than 5 ml confirmed by CT or MRI scan
  • You arrived at the hospital within 24 hours of symptoms starting
  • You are in a coma but still breathing on your own
  • You are between 18 and 65 years old
  • You have severe neurological symptoms
