Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Your brain bleed (hematoma) is in the brainstem and is at least 3 mL in size.
  • Your level of consciousness (GCS score) is between 3 and 12.
  • Surgery can happen within 48 hours of the bleed starting.
  • Before this event, you had no major disability (mRS 0 or 1).
  • You do not have any other major brain bleed, an aneurysm, or a blood clotting problem.
