Focal vs whole gland brachytherapy boost for prostate cancer

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with prostate cancer that has not spread beyond the prostate.
  • Your cancer is considered intermediate or high risk but still confined to the prostate.
  • You have a visible tumor on an MRI scan (PI-RADS score 3-5).
  • Your prostate is 60 cc or smaller (or up to 80 cc if you have mild urinary symptoms).
  • You have not had prior prostate surgery, HIFU, or pelvic radiation.
  • You are able to have an MRI and lie flat for treatment.
