MRI to track lung disease changes in ILD

Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILD)

Who can take part

  • You must be scheduled for a routine high-resolution CT scan of your chest for a newly diagnosed or suspected case of ILD, such as IPF or hypersensitivity pneumonitis.
  • You must be able to give informed consent and lie still for the MRI scan.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You must not have any contraindications to MRI, such as severe kidney problems or an allergy to MRI contrast dye (gadolinium).
  • You must be 18 years or older.
