Who can take part
- You are 18 or older
- You have a new, returning, or worsening cancer that has spread or is advanced and you are starting a new cancer treatment (not including blood thinners)
- Your blood clot risk score (Khorana) is medium or high, but not extremely high
- You are able to care for yourself (ECOG score 0-2) and expected to live more than 6 months
- You are not already taking a statin or a blood thinner, and you do not have severe liver or kidney problems
