This trial tests whether taking a statin (rosuvastatin) after a recent leg blood clot (DVT) and/or lung blood clot (PE) can lower the chance of future venous clots. You might benefit if you’re at risk for more clotting and can take the study medication safely.

Who can take part
- You have a recent, confirmed blood clot: DVT in the upper part of the leg vein and/or a lung clot diagnosed within the last 30 days
- You can provide written informed consent (or your legal representative can, if applicable)
- You’re 18 or older
- You are not already taking a statin
- You can safely take rosuvastatin (not allergic to statins, no serious muscle or liver/kidney problems, and not on certain drug combinations)
