Stem cell bone repair for cleft lip and palate

Who can take part

  • You are a child aged 7 to 12 years old
  • You have a cleft lip and palate that affects one side of the upper jaw
  • You have had a baby tooth saved and stored so stem cells can be used from it
  • Your upper teeth and jaw have been straightened with braces and are ready for surgery
  • You have not had any previous surgery to repair the cleft in the jawbone
  • You are healthy enough for surgery and are up to date on your vaccinations
