Who can take part
- You have a unilateral alveolar cleft (bone gap on one side of the mouth from cleft palate) and missed the treatment window during mixed dentition phase (roughly ages 7–12)
- You had cleft lip and palate surgery previously
- You brush and floss regularly and have good oral hygiene habits
- You do not have a weakened immune system or immunocompromising condition
- You do not have active periodontitis (infected gums or bone disease)
- You are willing to undergo bone graft surgery using either jaw or hip bone
