Treating blood clots in the lung at home for cancer patients

Active Cancer and Symptomatic or Incidental Pulmonary Embolism Without HESTIA Criteria

This study tests whether people with active cancer and a new blood clot in the lung can be safely treated at home instead of in the hospital. If you have cancer and a blood clot that is not causing severe symptoms, you may be able to join this trial.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with a blood clot in the lung within the past 24 hours
  • You have active cancer (diagnosed in the past 6 months, or currently receiving treatment, or cancer that has spread)
  • Your blood pressure is stable and you are not in shock
  • You are not already in the hospital for more than 24 hours
  • You can come back for a checkup after 30 days
