  • You are 18 or older
  • You have a confirmed pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lung)
  • Your vital signs are stable and you don't need to stay in the hospital based on a standard checklist (Hestia rule)
  • You have signs of extra heart strain on an echocardiogram or CT scan, or a slightly high troponin level in your blood
  • You have health insurance as required by local laws
  • You can give consent to participate
