Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have been in a secure psychiatric unit for at least half of the time over the past 6 months.
  • Your aggressive behavior has not improved with standard treatments.
  • You are otherwise medically stable and can safely undergo brain imaging and surgery.
  • If you are a woman able to have children, you must use effective birth control and have a negative pregnancy test.
