Taping for shoulder pain in overhead athletes

This study tests whether a special taping technique can reduce shoulder pain and improve function in pitchers and other athletes who do a lot of overhead movements. If you have had shoulder pain for more than six weeks from sports and train at least 2 hours a week, you may be able to join.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You play a sport that involves lots of overhead movements (like baseball, volleyball, tennis)
  • You train at least 2 hours each week
  • You have had shoulder pain for more than 6 weeks that is related to your sport
  • You can understand and fill out questionnaires in Spanish
  • You have not had a cortisone shot or physical therapy for your shoulder in the last 6 months
