Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 85 years old.
  • You have chronic heart failure due to left heart disease for at least 6 months, and you still have symptoms despite taking all recommended heart failure treatments.
  • You have not been in the hospital for heart failure in the last month, and your medications have been stable for at least a month.
  • Your resting blood pressure is between 90/60 and 160/100 mmHg, and your resting heart rate is between 50 and 100 beats per minute (or up to 110 if you have atrial fibrillation).
  • You can walk between 100 and 450 meters in 6 minutes, and the limit is due to shortness of breath or fatigue, not other problems.
  • You have a certain level of a heart stress marker (NT-proBNP) in your blood, which depends on your heart's pumping ability.
