Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • You have one or more deep cartilage injuries in the knee (called osteochondral lesions) that are between 1 and 7 square centimeters total.
  • Your knee pain or function is worse than 70 on a standard knee score.
  • You have tried physical therapy for at least 6 weeks without success.
  • You do not have advanced arthritis, major knee instability, or other serious health issues that would make the surgery risky.
