Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are scheduled for robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery with general anesthesia
  • Your surgery is expected to finish before 4:00 PM so the breathing tube can be removed during daytime hours
  • You do not have severe obesity (BMI under 35)
  • You do not have untreated sleep apnea or other serious heart, lung, liver, or kidney conditions
