Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with a stroke that is in the subacute phase (usually a few days to 6 months after the stroke).
  • Your thinking and memory are good enough to participate (Mini Mental State Exam score of 24 or above).
  • You do not have a mental health condition that would prevent you from cooperating with the program.
  • You have not broken your arm or shoulder in the last 6 months.
  • You have not had recent surgery on your arm or shoulder that affects movement.
  • You are willing to take part in the study.
