  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 25 and 40
  • You have not exercised or trained in the last year
  • You have not been on a special diet in the last 6 months
  • Your cardiorespiratory fitness is low (VO2max under 45 ml/kg/min)
  • You are not taking any medications or dietary supplements
