This study tests whether extending your sleep time improves your health and well-being. Researchers will give you guidance to slowly increase your sleep, using your FitBit to track progress.

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • You typically sleep 6 hours or less each night.
  • You own a FitBit with a heart rate monitor.
  • You usually go to bed between 8 pm and 1 am and wake up between 5 am and 10 am.
  • You do not have untreated insomnia or sleep apnea.
  • You have a computer or smartphone to complete daily sleep diaries.
