Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older and have delirium confirmed by a specific test (CAM-ICU).
  • You are expected to stay in the ICU for at least 5 more days after joining the study.
  • You cannot be on a regular schedule of antipsychotic medications (like Haldol or Seroquel) at the time of joining.
  • You must not have a severe infection, unstable blood pressure, major bleeding, or recent bowel surgery.
  • You cannot be pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking strong immune-suppressing drugs.
