Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have had a stroke or mini-stroke caused by a narrowed artery inside your brain, and standard medicines haven't worked well enough.
  • Imaging shows the artery is at least 70% blocked.
  • You are not severely disabled (able to walk and care for yourself).
  • You have not had a stroke in the last 2 weeks.
  • You can safely take blood thinners (like aspirin or clopidogrel) and do not have severe allergies or organ problems.
