Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • You are generally healthy (ASA I or II – meaning you have no major health problems or only mild, well-controlled conditions).
  • You are scheduled for elective sinus surgery under general anesthesia.
  • You do not have a known allergy to dexmedetomidine, lidocaine, or other anesthetics.
  • You do not have significant liver, heart, lung, or brain disease, a body mass index above 35, or take beta blockers regularly.
  • You can communicate and do not have mental disability preventing participation.
