Who can take part

  • You have never had a heart ablation procedure before
  • You have persistent atrial fibrillation and are scheduled for catheter ablation
  • You have an enlarged upper-left heart chamber (at least 4.5 cm in diameter, or a specific volume or area)
  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have no history of stroke or mini-stroke
  • Your heart pumps at least 35% of blood out of the main chamber (LVEF ≥35%)
