Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 70 years old and weigh over 40 kg (about 88 lbs).
- You have been diagnosed with refractory SLE and are experiencing moderate to severe disease activity.
- Your blood counts (white cells, red cells, and platelets) meet certain minimum levels at screening.
- Your liver, kidneys, lungs, and heart are functioning adequately.
- You have not had certain growth factor or transfusion within a specific time before screening.
- You are not pregnant and are willing to use effective contraception during and for at least one year after the study.
